ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Kevin Durwael started training at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp where he graduated in 1997.
After his studies, he first moved to the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT). He then moved on to the Royal Ballet of Flanders, where he danced in more than 45 productions over a period of 14 years.
In 2012 he received a certificate of teaching artist from the Associate Degree of Education, specialisation Dance at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. Since September 2012, Kevin has been a teacher at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp.                           

Besides teaching, he is also a choreographer and has already created numerous choreographies both for the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp and for partners abroad.

He is also regularly invited as a guest teacher in various countries among which Japan, United States, South Africa, Israel, Poland, Italy, Brazil and Argentina.

Before being appointed artistic director of the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, he had already worked for many years as an assistant artistic director side by side with former artistic directors.
