Kevin Durwael

Kevin Durwael started dancing at the age of 5 in the ballet school Cox. At the age of 12 he moved to Antwerp where he started his studies at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp and where he graduated in 1997. After his studies he went to the Dutch Dance Theater. He then moved on to the Royal Ballet of Flanders, where he danced more than 45 productions during 14 years. In 2012 he obtained his diploma from the specific teacher training for dance at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. Since September 2012, Kevin has been a teacher at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. He is also regularly invited as a guest teacher in Japan, America, South Africa, Israel, Poland and Italy. As a coach and choreographer, he also prepares the students for competitions and Galas such as the 'Prix de Lausanne', 'YAGP', 'International Ballet Competition Varna', 'Helsinki', 'Tanzolymp' and 'International concours de Biarritz'. Kevin currently works as an Associate Artistic Director of the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp and as a repertoire and ballet teacher and resident choreographer. Kevin also acts as guest teacher and choreographer at the American Academy of Ballet.
