Curtis Foley
Canadian born, Curtis Foley is an international Ballet Master. He graduated from The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School on scholarship and performed with The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company and New York City based Les Ballets Grandiva (Trocadero) as a soloist performing on the world's stages of Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore and Chicago amongst others. Since retirement, he has been a sough after teacher and coach for The National Ballet of Canada, Stuttgart Ballet, Ballet Zurich, The National Ballet of Portugal, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, The Hungarian National Ballet, The New Zealand School of Dance Codarts and Simon Fraser University. In the summer of 2011, he was the Rehearsal Director for the creation of The Clifford E. Lee Choreographic Commission at The Banff Centre, followed by 5 years as Ballet BC’s Resident Teacher. He has frequently taught master classes for the Dance Teacher's Association of Canada and has been invited to sit on the jury of The British Columbia Arts Council, Youth America Grand Prix and Tanz Olymp. From 2016-2019 he was based in Warsaw as Ballet Master for The Polish National Ballet where he was responsible for staging the ballets of Wayne McGregor, John Neumeier, and Toer van Shayck as well as assisting in the creation of world premieres by Krzysztof Pastor and Liam Scarlett. He assumed the same role at The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in The Czech Republic for two seasons before being named the Artistic Director of The Royal Ballet School of Antwerp.
